Hi all, as a newbie to astrology, a few years ago. I realized I do not completely resonate with my sun sign. Then I started checking the horoscopes for my rising sign.

Adding this horoscope to my sun sign’s I was able to get a better picture of life and where mine is heading. The only hang up with the Ascendant sign is that you need to have an accurate birth time. No birth time, then an astrologer can help do a rectification. For a general idea, put birth time at noon.

A person’s birth chart is considered a snap shot of the sky at the moment a person was born. The Ascendant is the sign that was rising on the horizon when you were born, it changes roughly every two hours.

The rising sign is known to influence the natives first impression, attitude, demeanor, mannerisms, unconscious nature and subconscious mind. The Ascendant is part of the trinity that completes our personality. The sun, moon and rising signs together tend to paint a relatively accurate picture of the native.
