How Astrology and Astronomy Connect, Planet In Question The Moon
Hi all and welcome to Spirit’s blog. Today I would like to study the moon. So according to astronomy, the moon is an astronomical body that orbits the earth, it is also the earth’s only natural satellite. The circumference of the moon is 6,786 mi. The moon is also 238,900 mi. from the earth.
Point of View of Astronomy
The scientific community states that the moon just like the earth, has multiple levels, a core, a mantle and a crust. The core of the moon has two parts, a solid iron base, and a liquid iron base. Earth’s moon is the second densest, natural satellite in the Solar System.
The Moon’s Influence on Earth
The moon controls the tides for Earth, it does this by being magnetically attracted to the Earth. As the earth rotates, the gravitational pull between the side of the Earth closest to the Moon, pulls the tide out. So the Moon uses it’s own gravitational field to create what is called tidal force. This causes the Earth and it’s water to bulge out, on the side closest to the Moon and farthest from the Moon. In Astrology we call that polarity. When something causes an effect on one side and it’s polar opposite.
Scientific Questioning
Some scientists believe that the Moon was created by a massive collision with Earth. So therefore the Moon is a piece of the Earth. This group of scientists believe it was originally half…
