Hi all and welcome to Spirit’s blog. Today I was doing my daily chart reading with transits.

As I interpreted I realized in this cosmically crazy time, everything is aspecting Juno in Libra.

Well, that got me thinking, “Why do they call her the goddess of goddesses?” So I set out to research the myth behind this important asteroid. In examining Juno we will discover what astronomers say, the astrological meaning and the mythology behind this asteroid. Once all those have been looked at, I will reveal how Juno affects each of the zodiac signs.

Juno in Astronomy

Juno is an asteroid in the asteroid belt, located between Mars and Jupiter.

Juno was discovered September 1st 1804 by German astronomer Karl Harding.

It is said that Juno contains 1% of the mass in the asteroid belt. Juno takes just over 4 years to complete her orbit.

The surface of Juno is made of reflective material, this makes her bright, at some points in her orbit she can be even brighter than Jupiter. Juno is named after the mythological goddess Juno.

Juno in Mythology

Juno in Roman mythology was the goddess of protection, and counselor of the state.
